Default Fluid's poems
A few of my poems.

----------
----------

"ivory snow"

And then there's winter,

nighttime windows open
just a crack
while the stove blazes

enduring
"man bites dog"
for the morning forecast

tea kettle steam
clashing
windowsill frost
heroically

a quick snow-jaunt
dyeing your eyebrows
silver

(and my favorite)

suds from the sky
scrubbing scrubbing scrubbing
away unraked leaves--
99 44/100% pure!

----------
----------

Did I cut myself
when I dropped
the cranberry crystal cup?

Frozen shards of blood
spattered
on the living room rug.

----------
----------

stretching their sinews
the
soapstone
Fu dogs
guard my windowsill.
no bad dreams
tonight.

"January 16, 1979 -- ?"

He walked along the garden path
the moon was high
red paper lanterns strewn in the branches
guided him.
He let his fingers brush
leafless bushes as he went.
Another year lost
for dreaming
loving
learning
crying.
But there are still
many paper lanterns
ahead.

I really, really like these poems. They're in the style that I love--using simple words to make a beautiful, descriptive scene. My favorites are the soapstone Fu dog one and "January 16, 1979 -- ?". I hope you'll post some more.
