Default 4th Recolor Channel (Pattern D) help, please? -- RESOLVED/RESIGNED
Does anyone here know how to add 'Pattern D', the 4th recolor channel of a mesh in TSRW? I've opened EA meshes with TSRW before and seen this 4th channel, but I don't know how to get it with obects that start out with only 3.

You need Inge Jones' Texture Tweaker - as far as I know the fasted way to get an object to 4 Channel. Simlogical is currently offline, but there is a temporary link here:

I think to use TT3 (Texture Tweaker) with tsrw you'll need to export the entire project to .package from Project contents, edit in TT3, remove all content from Project content, and then import the entire project from your .package. I don't use tsrw but this is what my understanding of the process is...hope that helps

adding the pattern in tsrw is alot of work:

Posted 05 February 2012 - 03:13 AM it is alot of work to change a 3 color object into a 4 color but possible.
Besides updating the OBJD(Materials/material blocks/Complate overrides) you also need to update the XML's and add extra superblocks in the TXTC's.
I did convert a few objects this way but i find it easier to just clone a 4 color object and swap the script/Footprint/RIG/RLST and LITE files from your 3 color object.(and reimport the meshes)
You can do this by using project contents in TSRW's menu(exept the meshes ofcourse)

There are some troubles i think when exporting as package and use TT3 on it but i am not sure, you can read about it here:

Changing to 4 channels using the 3T (TT3) tool is very easy.

The post you're linking to shows troubles that are not the fault of 3T Bloom That person was not deleting his project contents.

Did you read Orange her post Murfee?
I was wrong, it is easy with TSRW and TT3

*Choose export as package under project contents.
*Update your exported package with TT3.
*Delete all the files in TSRW's project contents.
*Reimport your updated package.
