Default Hood deco - piers
The stock ones can't be attached to the beach. I've seen platform things (called what?) that can be placed on beach that "go into" the water - but you can't put a pier from THAT into the water either. I have seen some pictures of piers that go onto the beach..but they look wrong; the walkway goes UP toward the water, and the pier is way to high. It should be flat from the beach, or go DOWN. Any suggestions?

Might something like the one found at http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/...hp?f=155&t=9224 or http://modthesims.info/d/294916 work?

There is also a very useful tutorial on how to build one here http://modthesims.info/t/510324...if you wanted one on a lot.

I would start with this mod - Place neighborhood deco anywhere
http://www.modthesims.info/d/265020

If your looking for neighborhood deco piers then this would be good
http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=294916 Criquette also made a whole collection of neighborhood stuff (look in the 'Related Uploads' tab of the page).

Then, you can go here and download more pier stuff and boats

For some reason, I saw this one a few days ago but I didn't bookmark or download it? In any case, I found this set. They're 4t2 so maybe not your style. I hope you can place them the way you want to!

There is also these lit up embankments (same as Criquette's + smaller version) but the difference is they lighten up during night time
