Default Create water plane with SandrineD generator
Hello !
I tried to create water planes with this tutorial : http://modthesims.info/showthread.p...25#startcomment

But the sims 3 water plane generator doesn't work.
I tried to use the SandrineD generator. But I don't understand how I use it when I have generated the HEX code. Could you help me ?
And I don't have 0x90624C1B file in .world file.

I tried to use Super CAW but I can't place correctly the water plane.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @Goby03

You can get the 0x90624C1B file from this post- I just attached them as the link was broken:
http://modthesims.info/showthread.p...d=1#post3370026

Basically, you need to copy all of the hex code that is generated by SandrineD's tool and import it into one of the 707 files. Then edit the 906 file to match the number of planes you have:
http://www.modthesims.info/showpost...34&postcount=82

If you want to change opacity, you can do that from within the generator tool:
http://www.modthesims.info/showpost...70&postcount=44

Flstrider has a tutorial, but unfortunately the images are bukkitted. The text is still good though- in this he uses Zaide_Chris' tool to generate the files, and then edits them with data from SandrineD's tool.
http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/dis...ck-you-may-have
Obviously the bit about Zaide_Chris' tool is no good, but the part about pasting in SandrineD's code should help you.
You could use the files from Twinbrook or Bridgeport to start with if you wanted to, if you look at them you will see that the 707 files are named sequentially, and the 906 has a byte to define the number of 707s. So you should be able to make any number of planes that you need using these.

I hope this helps!

Thank you! Ok so my next question is, do you know of any errors or glitches that can come about from overlapping water planes? I've created this neighborhood entrance sign and want to have a second water plane in the narrow space between the walls, but elevated to be the source of the waterfall. Not sure if I need to edit my first plane (at ground level) to stop at the low wall. I just want to make sure it won't cause any glitches in the game. @Simsample, now do you see why I want/need those letter objects for caw? lol. I want to put "WATER'S EDGE" across the higher, back wall.
