WCIF (Historical) Windows Without Glass?
So, I've been doing lots of reading about Iron Age & Roman Britain - including visiting various historical places here in the UK (feel free to PM me if you would like recommendations for Roman British places to visit!) - as I would like to make a Roman invasion of Britain neighbourhood at some point in the future. No doubt there will be many WCIF's from me over the next year or so, but here's one to start with.
Where can I find windows which don't have panes of glass in them?
Glass windows were around in Roman Britain, but only wealthier households could afford them. Poorer people lived in buildings with small window openings without glass.
If anyone knows of any TS2 windows without glass I would really appreciate links and/or suggestions. I haven't found any so far! :-( Thank you all in advance for any ideas! :-)

There is a window from sims 3 WA(Egypt themed) that is basically just that, a framed hole in the wall and I am pretty sure I saw a conversion to TS2..but now i cannot find it.

There are several windows without glass from castaway! Some are made of bamboo though, but there are several in tree too, here!

Moune's big Torrox set has wall cutout "windows" which might be useful: http://www.modthesims.info/d/415938...l-cut-outs.html They don't have frames, but there are wooden sills to use with them.
I'm mostly found on (and mostly upload to) Tumblr these days because, alas, there are only 24 hours in a day.

K8 at Parsimonious has a glassless frame in her Pirate Bay set. Other windows have small diagonal panes of very cloudy glass. or it might even be translucent hide stretched across the diagonal frame. http://www.parsimonious.org/furnitu..._Bay_Build.html

Any window that has the glass as a separate recolorable subset, can be recolored to be transparent. Just replace with a full transparent png, I usually use a 1px size.

I'm curious ... so if you use a window without glass is the house (or where it's put) still weatherproof?

for the game: yes, in reality windows were filled with natural semi-transparent (or non transparent at all, like leather or fur) materials; and there also were shutters, just for that case. For centuries (up to late XIX and in poorer areas even in XX century) the glass was quite luxury material.

Apparently these windows from Champs Les Sims have a glass-free version, but I can't find the Egypt-themed ones. If anyone else knows of a link for them I would appreciate it! :-)
Thank you to everyone for the links and to HugeLunatic for the tip on removing glass in existing windows - I will give that a go next week when I have more time! :-) I also found these windows by TheNinthWave, on PBK, but the download link is invalid. If anyone has them or knows where I can download them that would be very helpful! :-)
I have some lovely windows for my Roman insulae and poor people's houses, but I would love to find even more, so if anyone has any more links/suggestions they would be much appreciated!

There's a useful recolour of MLC's window film as stretched parcment at the bottom of this Secret Santa gift from heget at PBK: http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/...archment#p50434 (scroll way down). It's not a window, but I think it looks good on any simple window with a wood frame and it makes some of the modern windows usable in a period game.

@lauratje86 look at this! http://www.sunni.us/ss/amy/index.htm click on each present. Not only windowless glass with shutters that open and close but also working kitchen items by Sunni. Soon as I saw this I thought of your post here.

Thank you all for the links! :-) I had definitely seen those before, Jo, but I had forgotten all about them, so thank you very much for posting the link. I also love the kitchen stuff on that page! :-)
Many thanks to all who have posted links - I have lots of options now, but am still searching for the 3t2 World Adventures window that Rosebine mentioned and a working download link for the glassless BV windows by TheNinthWave. If anyone comes across either of those, or any other glassless windows, I would much appreciate links! :-)

As JoandSarah mentioned, Sunni has a lot of historical mods to check out, here at MTS, her personal website that JoandSarah linked, or PlumbobKeep/MedievalSims.
A lot of wooden window no glass recolors at PlumbobKeep/MedievalSims: http://www.medievalsims.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=174
I think both Sunni and Shastakiss made no glass versions of the base game window (wood or stone) somewhere, found here in a larger size:

To your other question:
The only wooden 3t2 WA windows I've seen were converted by mistyfluff here: https://misty-fluff.livejournal.com/17378.html
The conversion directory here: https://322cdb.livejournal.com/1626.html
Edit: I didn't see TNW reposting the BV window, but you can double check their website:
