This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Pets, Seasons
Default Is there a way to stop new patches for sims in origin?
Is unticking automatic updates for games work? Also can i stop origin from updating?

yes it works, and just by pass the launcher whenever starting the game to make it sure the automatic update is also by passed, make your FPS limiter go to TS3W.exe when launching the game..

As evident from their other posts, the OP is on Patch 1.69. They cannot bypass the Launcher and TS3w.exe is not the executable that their game is using, it's TS3.exe. They must start up the game from Origin, which in turn calls up the Launcher. It's cumbersome and somewhat annoying, but it cannot be worked around on that patch level.

The answer is yes, you can instruct Origin to not patch your game without permission but we aren't seriously expecting any more TS3 patches. There has only been one (though it was released three times) in the past 2.5 years. And you can probably instruct Origin to not update either, but not sure why you would do that unless Internet connectivity is an issue.
