Mariana Gavigan (Mary... but I prefer the long-form lol) had triplets on the last round, and for the first time ever, I genuinely wish she hadn't. I already had a set - the Fuller Triplets, and then of course there's the Travelle Quads. And three sets of twins - two sets of which belong to the Curious clan. I had ENOUGH multiples in short. And it also seems... weird somehow. Mariana's barely 21 in my game (she and Nathan had Isaiah when they were 15 apparently) and Elijah's 2... and now she's got THREE more kids all at once. I dunno. There's nothing to be done now. I don't fancy restoring from my last back up since it was two weeks ago and so much has happened in that window of time. I also feel like they're not the types to give up a child for adoption, especially as Mariana's a stay at home mum (despite her demands for a job lately. They can't afford to pay a nanny, so she simply can't work.)

It's my own fault since I forgot how high the Triplets and Quads default settings are in my game. I've shifted them down from 8,6,4 (Twins, Triplets, Quads) to 4,2,2 so that multiples will be logically rare in a hood where there's a baby in nearly every household.

I think I'll use the celebrity cone to simulate the press hearing about the triplets (wish I'd thought of this when the Travelle quads were just babies still - they're 2 now) and flocking to the little neighbourhood to take pictures. Then I'll 'drop off' items donated by members of the public to help the poor things and maybe start a college fund for Isaiah. I've also put stubborn Mariana on birth control.

terula8, sounds like your town could use a boarding school or a government funded day care! Or maybe a summer camp?

You know maybe instead of trying to make houses on 1 tile wide lots from pure imagination and becoming unhappy with the result I should look at the floorplans for the subdivision with the exact right size of house, hmmm

Also when I started making 1 tile wide 'roadless' lots with a custom 1 lane alley it was based off Tokyo, now I'm just making suburban houses from a Canadian city a 10th the size

I love 1x1 lots. Do you have any fun ones you can show? Maybe we could have a tiny house thread?

I do wish garages were smaller, too. I was building 1x4 lots a week or two ago and it was a pain in the butt for sure. Luckily, sims can use just the extension (the car disappears and reappears in place), so I just used that.

I'd say, anything smaller than the smallest lot the game has, so... anything made smaller using Lot adjuster..modded lots!

I think things that fit on a 1x1 are small enough. Lately, I'm been making tiny houses and businesses that are 6x6 square footprints.

How about the pictures forum? I'll have to be an avid watcher for now, though. While I have been experimenting with building on lots 1 tile wide (like 1x2 or 1x4, etc.) I haven't done 1x1 yet. I don't think I'm advanced enough for that yet.

@Phantomknight DEFINITELY! All of the above lol I get so caught up in playing and the events of the rotation that it takes me a while to work up enough time to take a break and put up the necessary buildings (my poor sims. Their player-god is a lazy one lol).

I've built a daycare (I think it can just about fit all of the year three toddlers who are about 2 years old), and an elementary school that's already too small. The population is growing too fast!

On topic:
I love 1x1 lots and small footprint builds! It's why I always struggle when building the schools - I need to use the larger lots and I always worry about there being too much dead space (no such thing in a school really though).

Sunrader, how do you make that 2-step-high foundation? I have never found a way that was easy enough to bother with on a regular basis.

For years I have whined about the boringness of the Ramiswamis. They have now been topped. Yes, I'm looking at you Wans. OMG. They are so boring. I can't possibly care less about them. I even moved one of my favorite sims in with them. I still care about her and her children, but the rest....

They had a big fire, and since it was in the prison hood, they couldn't call for fire department help. I was eager to see them die. But, the fire petered out only taking one of the boring people.

Why not just make them townies and send them on their way?

I started doing that..only making them DOWNtownies, when I had no downtown.

And yes, the Cone of Shame is gone and I am no longer Outcast! I think I'm going to continue making sideblogs for my neighborhoods, though, as I suspect it picked on me because of the number of picture posts I make. Since the Crumplebot they use to detect "porn" is essentially making random dice rolls to determine what qualifies, anything a blog can do to reduce the number of dice rolls made for it is bound to be useful.

I decided to play with testingcheats on, since it apparently produce a file stating why a crash happened, if it happens. Well, no files were created at the time of the crash..got one object error file, but 31 minutes before it crashed. I guess, I'll still be wondering why it happened huh.

Speaking of playing with testingcheats on; I've done it lots of time - no problems. But last lot I played (I was generating townies via "create teen male", etc) it started a string of errors popping up so fast I couldn't even exit the lot!. I started hitting "delete" --every buyable object, pet, person OMG I had to pull the plug! WTH was going on??!!!

Wait, what? You were suspended for having too many pics? You would think a human would look at if there was a question, because if it had been porn...that could have other implications.
