Default Trying to find the actual downloads for the site Historical Sims Life
I have seen some gorgeous historical clothing I would love on a specific website but everytime you click the download button it will just open tab after tab of dodgy things to download and install on your computer and still won't take you to the download...I have tried contacting the owner but no reply so far...just wondered if anyone else has got stuff from there succesfully or if they have their downloads elsewhere...thank you.
Edit the site is called Historical Sims Life and it does have a Tumblr which I have tried to contact the site owner/creator on

Those are just ads They're perfectly fine, you don't have to download anything.
Look for the "Continue" button. You may have to do a captcha for it to work. If you click continue it'll start a countdown of 10 seconds, preparing your download link. After 10 seconds you'll see a button "Get link" right under the countdown. Click on it. The first (or maybe even second click) might trigger an ads to pop up, if it doesn't close automatically just close them. Click the "Get link" button again. After 1-3 clicks on the button it'll take you to the simfileshare site where you can download the file.
Make sure to click on the buttons I mentioned above^, not on the ADS itself. Don't believe big green "DOWNLOAD" buttons on sites like ad.fly, clk.sh, etc.

Thanks folks...I wasn't even getting a countdown thing. Tried today and it was doing that now but it still leads to some very dodgy virus pages...had to shut down my computer several times as it came up with those fake windows has been hacked messages...whish people wouldn't use dodgy hosting sites...anyway I have managed to get some stuff....took hours though due to the dodgy stuff that kept popping up

Hello, most creators do spectacular things, really quality meshes and that many times you think that it is only free and no longer, the reality is that most need your effort to be recognized that is why patreon are created, ask for donations or advertise
there are extensions to skip the ads but if you really like the work of a creator you should not use them
anyway if you want to know more about the extensions rewrite
I know it is difficult because most use many ads and many of them are to repair pc, bitcoins and things like casino but if that is not patreon or donations or directly free with nothing
I have all the downloads that I have of historical never use an extension, only common sense helped me

Yeah, I have the same sentiments. I understand wanting ads but for me, it takes what seems like forever to download even one CC because I have to click 10+ times before I finally get around to it (with AdBlock, mind you). It would be relieving to have a simpler, less hassle way of downloading her amazing work. Having Ko-Fi would be great for support and funds if they're needed, for I'm sure there's countless in The Sims community who'd love to financially support her historical works! <3 But this is my opinion, of course. > / / / <

It's true, the download links for Historical Sims are utterly dodgy, use them at your peril.

Downloading from a site is an act of trust. The user is making their pc vulnerable to potentially devastating viruses and deserves a safe download. Using this kind of hosting is like running a restaurant where the chef has explosive diarrhea and never washes their hands. Creators certainly have the right to make money, but there are save avenues for that. All Historical Sims is achieving by this is ensuring that no fans can enjoy their content. It really sucks because I would very much like to use their medieval and Celtic content, but I think it's not too much to want a healthy computer.
