Is it worth to buy a 4K laptop?
I'm struggling to buy a 4K laptop or stick with 1080P laptop. I will need it for casual gaming like The Sims 4, entertainment and study use.

I do NOT recommend 4K screens for any kind of gaming. You'd need something like Triple SLI GTX 1080s for a good 4K gaming experience. That's something like USD 2100 investment just for the GPUs, let alone the motherboard, cpu and psu to go with it. So in most cases you'd have to downscale to 1080p or 1440p anyway.

Go for the 1080p if you want to play games.

Thank you for your response @ajaxsirius! I'll go for 1080P because it's much cheaper than 4K. Anyway it would be a lot of waste of money buying a 4K laptop.

No problem. On a side note, neither of those laptops have a dedicated GPU so gaming might be tough even at 1080p.

I do not mind about gaming on laptops, I just need a laptop is decent for entertainment and university use. I can play The Sims 4 a bit on the laptop. I already have a hardcore customised PC with Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 TI super clocked graphics card.
