Default How To Convert Male Hair to Female?
I've searched everywhere for a tutorial on how to do this.
Anybody want to link me to one?

I'm so sorry if this is the wrong forum, Dx
I thought it would be the right one.
If I'm wrong, I apologize. I know how annoying that can be.

I got this explanation somewhere on a site, can't remember which one though

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To change age - open the RECOLOR file in SimPe.

Click on “all resources”
Sort by type

Scroll down list to find “Mesh overlay XML” - there will be several

Click on one, on the bottom left is a long list.
Click on “age” - you can now change this in the box on the right labeled “value”

The settings are:

01 - toddler
02 - child
04 - teenager
08 - adult
40 - young adult
10 - elder

You can add these values together. For example:

40 + 8 = 48: for young adult and adult
2 + 4 = 6: for child and teenager
10 + 40 + 8 = 58: for young adult, adult and elder

Click on each Mesh overlay to see all the ages included
Now go back and make desired changes, clicking “commit” with each change.

Excuse me but how do you find the RECOLOR file. I've been searching but can't find it. Sorry I'm new to SimPe.

The above method is not the proper method for converting hair for ANY ages except toddler and child. If you attempt to do this on hair that includes teen, adult, or elder, the hair will not fit - it will NOT work properly. And you could only do it that way for a hair that -only- works for child/toddler - if it includes other ages, you'd have to remove them for that to work at all, or convert them properly.

In order to do a truly proper conversion for any other ages but toddler/child, you must not only do the above, but clone the mesh and refit it to the other gender's head. Otherwise you will have gaps and it will look -bad-.

dulemist - If you don't already know, you're not ready to do this.

Male and female clothes, hair, or accessories except for child and toddler will not fit the other gender properly. You CANNOT just change the values on them - you'll get big ugly gaps. You must actually refit the mesh, the 3D model, to make it fit the other gender (or age).

Is there already a tut on how to do gender changes for clothing? If so, is there a link to it?

Try this tutorial for the hair: http://esperesa.livejournal.com/tag...hair+converting
This requires PATIENCE!

And...here's another link for an easier way to do it, but the result might look a bit weird because you would be skipping refitting the mesh. Best to use on hairs with heavy bangs.
