I would love to create a hand drawn animated movie in the US. I don't care if it's no longer cheap, but total CG cheapens the dreams I once had to draw for a living.
I noticed a surge in imported hand drawn animated movies and with the prolific span of CG films made Stateside, it seems to sully the heritage of numerous studios, including Disney, which spawned the invention of the feature length animated movie and hand drawn, under the working restrictions, was their only viable option.
We had hand drawn of any sort, cel or digital much longer than CG. 1937 VS 1995, yes about a 60 year span between, but I am somewhat of a historian on certain subject matter.
I know some of the animation is done overseas, but the main production like story and editing is made in the USA.
