WCIF beds with 8 energy
I have a difficult time coordinating colours with the Majestically Medieval Double Bed, but I want my rich sims to have the best possible rest every night. Are there any cc beds with similar stats? (8 energy, 8 comfort, 6 environment though I'm more looking for the energy stat than the comfort or environment one, so beds with 8 energy and 7 comfort and whatever for environment would be cool too.) Particularity, I'm looking for beds that are in a similar price-range as the Majestically Medieval Double Bed, not underpriced beds with awesome stats. I already have tried having one of those in the game and I can't help but purchase it for every household, every bedroom, at its low price. I don't want to have every house have 8 energy beds from right off the bat, I do want it to remain a luxury for rich/established households. But I'm looking for other options besides the three hard-to-match options I have in the Majestically Medieval Double Bed.

I'd also appreciate being pointed towards recolours of the Majestically Medieval bed, because my problem is the fact it's only got three colour options and unless I'm making a gothic room the other two colours are incredibly difficult to match to any other furniture in my game to make a full luxurious master bedroom. I don't hate the bed, only the colours. I have a hard time thinking nobody else feels the same need for more beds with similar stats and more colours for this bed as I do, but I've tried searching and I've only ever found one recolour for this bed. Does no set of Maxis-matching wood recolours exist for this bed?

Thanks for any help you can gie me.

@kittenn1011 - Maybe this mod would be a better bet for you: Same energy gain for any bed
This way teens, adults and elders all get a value of 8-9 from sleeping in ANY game bed. Kids get an energy gain of 3.
(However if you choose the alternate version everyone gets the same energy gain.)
Make sure you read all the info on the page, as it addresses comfort. I hope this helps!

I'm familiar with this mod and it doesn't suit my tastes. I like having variable energy gain, too: I like that my poor sims have harder lives and have to sleep on cheaper beds that give them less energy gain, leaving less time for getting richer. I just want my rich sims to have more variety in bed choices too-- but I do want those choices to come at similar cost to what's available to me now, because I can't resist putting lower-cost 8 energy beds on poorer lots. You get me? Thanks for the suggestion, though.

@Kittenn1011 To be honest personally I would not use the bed mod that is left by member Goldenbtrfly above in post # 2 the reason why is in the post link above post #79 comment.
The best mod to use for bed energy and comfort is by far the well known modder "Lord Darcy" if you decide to use his mod please carefully read his instructions ( it do not go in your downloads ) here the link http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=268908

I won't be adding either to my game. Thanks for the warning, though. I like variable energy gain, I just want more options at the high end of the scale, and I want these options to be just as costly as the one that already exists.

I think you would find it easier to either change the price, energy and comfort of beds. I'm not sure off the top of my head, but open the file of that bed in SimPE and you will probably find the area related to price and or energy/comfort.

Gotcha. No harm in mentioning it, haha. I would go with joandsarah77's suggestion then.

If you're altering comfort gain for beds, it's going to be in the BCONs (don't be distracted by what it says in the OBJD - altering the value there doesn't work). I've just been having a a similar conversation with someone about stoves. Here from about post 30: http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...379#post5255379

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

Thanks for the instructions on altering bed stats related to comfort. I might fumble around in SimPE and try to do it at some point in the near future with a couple of the cc beds I have that are higher priced than the Maxis one with 8 energy but have only 7 energy. Can I ask if it'll be similar at all to change the price of beds? There are actually a lot of cc beds in my catalogue I'd love to do that too, including but not exclusively the under-priced 8 energy beds I've stumbled across.

In the meantime though, seeing as nobody does know of any 8 energy cc beds already priced reasonably... does anyone know of any recolours of the Majestically Medieval Double Bed? So at least I can use that one more flexibly?

Changing the price is rather easier than changing the energy levels. I wrote a quick tutorial about cataloguing (which is not relevant to you) but in the last part of it, I talk about changing things like price. Have a look at the third post after the main instructions at the end of the post.

So, though Photo Bucket managed to ruin all the previews, hafiseazale did some recolors of the Majestically Medieval Double Bed as well as other recolors in the set. Looking at the files, looks like it's Pooklet colors, but don't quote me: http://hafiseazale.livejournal.com/4078.html (found a preview pic on google, it's attached).

There's also some recolors at TSR by TabbyLou: https://www.thesimsresource.com/dow...-set/id/701831/. Plus some more recolors here: http://modthesims.info/d/279140, in case you didn't see those.

You can always try looking at Plumbbob Keep and searching Pinterest and Tumblr for medieval cc, too. I know there's a few pallets and such around for poorer sims so that you can keep nice beds for your rich sims.

And yes, for your purposes, you might want to change a few beds or clone a few (tutorial here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=10697) and give the custom ones different energy levels (How to change energy level of a bed here: http://modthesims.info/t/206505). If you give the clone a different GUID, both should show up in game.
