Default A mod which changes the overall appearance of sims
Is there such a thing?

Perhaps a CC mod pack with custom skins, eyes, etc.
I just don't like the way the Sims look in TS3 so yeah :p

Thanks!

I could be wrong but I don't think there is such a mod. I believe most folks download sims along with the skin, eyes, etc. that they like. Or just individually install skins, eyes, eyebrows, etc. and add to existing sims or create your own. For sims you do like you can always use Master Controller to transfer genetics.
I have a lot of custom sims but also with the help of sliders custom CAS items have been able to recrete the TS3 sims.
I am sure others in here will have more suggestions or perhaps know of a mod that will change the overall appearance

So what you want is to change how a Sim looks, as in change the base object? Or just their appearance?
If what you want is the first, I don't think such a thing exist. You could try to download custom skins, makeup, etc.

Fo example: (check the images)
I made the bunny girl using custom skins, makeup and sliders. The skin is genetic so you can even have little bunnies in the family as you can see in the second pic.
The boy (yep, it's a boy) is made with custom skin and makeup.

And now that I remember there are default skins and eyes, they replace the originals in the game. If that's what you wanted.

There is no one fix-it-all mod or fix that'll make your Sims look decent - you'll still have to do that yourself. But if you get yourself a HQ mod, some new skintones and some custom makeup, that can go a long way.

Other than mods you can also download sims made by other users. But first start with downloading the necessary sliders and from there I recommend looking for base sims, which typically have "a look" but without too much cc, like makeup, contacts, clothing etc.

The skin I believe it's Navetsea's Hot Skin or maybe Eskin's Natural.
Navetsea-Hot Skin (check the page for Default and non-Default skins): http://navetsea.blogspot.com.ar/p/t...-skin-mods.html
ESkin-Natural: http://modthesims.info/d/493687
The hair is Kijiko's Toyger Kitten: http://kijiko-catfood.com/white-toyger-kitten-for-male/
The eyes are contacts, they can be found in the custome makeup tab. I think are the Captivating Eyes: http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/1221153

Jonha's Body Sliders: http://modthesims.info/d/378416
Jonha's Headshape Sliders: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=399866
leWing Sims Body Essentials: http://modthesims.info/d/507576

Yuu shape face line: http://ys3studio.tumblr.com/post/70...hole-chin-small

I think that's pretty much it. The only thing missing is the makeup but you need to search what you want.
-Good luck!
