Default Graves Vanished, Having Trouble Restoring Them
Recently I've found that the urns of my two oldest sims were glitching out in weird ways. First, they duplicated themselves so I had 4 graves for two sims, but then, shortly after, both sets completely disappeared without a trace. I've looked at a few guides on how to restore them, but they haven't worked, as my sims don't seem to show up in the pie menus of the hacked objects involved in some of the popular tutorials. I also read in the tutorial that this could mean my sims' files are missing or corrupted. How do I know if this is the case, and are there any ways to restore my precious graves?

Yes, actually, but the sims whose graves I wish to restore do not appear in the "Select Sim" menu.

I see ok. I was not sure which objects from which tutorial you were referring to. I sure hope you get this sorted!

From what I've read - if the sims no longer show up in any pie menus, they're gone. Their files have been shredded beyond repair and your only option is to restore your neighborhood from a backup copy that was made before the graves developed problems.

Do you have Pescado's "nounlinkondelete" mod? If not, you need to get it ASAP. This will not help you get your sims back, but is a preventive measure that will keep this from happening again. With Pescado's mod, even if some of your graves disappear again, the game should be prevented from shredding the sims' files and you should be able to retrieve them successfully.

I just looked at my neighborhood in SimPE, and the sims still show up in there, but is says they have no character data. Is there any way I could use SimPE to load the files from a backup into my current game? Loading a backup would set me back literal ages in my game, and I'd rather not do that just to save some graves.
