Default Hotel de Sims
The challenge starts with sims who want to own a family-run hotel. The place is a dump, nobody knows what they are doing, and they are completely resistant to outside help. The family can be related to each other in any way that you choose. You begin by purchasing a resort lot, the cheaper the better. Use whatever money cheats you need to to get your household moved into their own home and buying their resort lot. After that is done, reset family funds to $10,000.

General Rules:

1) Start the challenge with as many sims as you wish, up to the eight (8) creatable in CAS, at least one of which must be YA, adult or elder. All other sims created at this stage must be related to this sim by birth or marriage. Assign traits as you choose with the following exceptions: you are encouraged to give the sims you create in CAS snob, slob, brooding or unlucky. You are not allowed to give the sims you create in CAS schmoozer, charismatic, handy, neat, party animal nor natural cook. Any traits your sims earn through successful aging or by luck of birth are fine.
2) As the family refuses outside help, they are not allowed to accept npcs working on the premises. They are, however, allowed marry or adopt in new help. It's all about keeping costs down even at the expense of paying customers. If you need help that badly, move someone in to help. Send your young single out on a hot date with the best chef in town. Adopt a wayward teen to work as your slave labour. Whatever it takes to keep it in the family, you do it. In order to prevent resort npcs from spawning on site, set shifts to none on all resort objects.
3) The family can either choose to ONLY work at the hotel or they can have multiple jobs to support the financial running of the property. If they only work at the hotel, they will not have as much money to pour into the business. If they work both at the hotel and outside of the hotel, there will be more money coming in, but the hotel will suffer from understaffing.
4) The family must work at the hotel. This means no careers that eat time to the point where it is impossible for the sim to help out at the hotel, such as medical. If a family member's desire for a career overrides their desire to help out in the hotel, they must leave home to pursue their career on their own. You may also choose to override the wayward sim's desires for the good of the family.
5) Sims should not be forced to advance related skills, but if they throw a want for it or do so autonomously, that should be encouraged. Yes, even at the expense of paying customers.
6) Developing and renovating the property is up to the player. If your sims show no interest, the have them do the bare minimum to keep it afloat. Otherwise, work on improvements at your discretion.
7) No buffet tables or food stalls. Any food your customers want must be made by the one of your controllable sims. (You can download a mod to enable cooking on community lots here and one to enable buying a stove for a community lot here, otherwise you could just have one sim at home cooking and make use of inventory space to get the food onto the resort lot. The mods are probably easier, but depending on traits, maybe not...)
8) You are allowed and encouraged to adopt, marry or otherwise choose sims for their traits or choose traits for the sim, aside from the founding family members.
9) You may use whatever mods and custom content you want. This challenge is supposed to entertain you, not torture you.

Winning:

There is no winning, only tears. You lose the challenge when your household is bankrupted or the resort is closed.

Thanks, I hate it.
