I've been gnawing on all my options for quite a while (incoming seniors have so many!) and I think I've finally narrowed it down:

English: AP Comp (mostly writing; semester class) and either Bible Lit and Philosophy or Poetry&Fiction Workshop
Social Studies: Psychology or Sociology
Science: Physics
Math: Calculus
Language: Still debating whether I want to take AP French 5, or just not take a French class.
Electives: This is my big struggle. I either want to take Architectural Drafting, which is an all-year class; or Independent Living and Child Development

ahhhh soo many choices!! [and only six hours!]

Wow... I tried calculus once, and I was completely stumped!

This allows me to see into the minds of people! That's right, I can actually see what they're thinking!
So long as what they're thinking is exactly what I think they're thinking.

BR_FI, You are only a sophmore next year?
If so, Your lucky getting U.S. History early, I had to wait three years for U.S.

Even though it is still a year off, I have to decide on my classes for next year by the middle of the year. I'm so excited, because it's my junior year and I get to go to a new school for it.

First Semster
  • Maths Applications
  • Basic English (everyone has to do it for first semester)
  • Japanese (advanced)
  • Photography
  • Newspaper
  • Modern History

Second Semester
  • Maths Applications
  • Writing C (English Course)
  • 19th Century English Writers (English Course)
  • Japanese (advanced)
  • Photography
  • Newspaper
  • Modern History

I've done my research on the new school I'm going to, so I know what each subject offers, the assessment pieces, and the course outline. Unfortunately, we don't do the whole AP system here. Everyone is in the same class, no matter what their level. Hopefully the English courses I've chosen will be picked by people who share my enthusiasm for the class.
Just for clarification, Writing C is a course where you get to work on your own piece of creative writing for an entire semester.

Another newspaper person? I'm sure you'll love it, being a writer... I'll be glad to have someone around here who understands my frustrations .

Do I dare disturb the universe?

I have my schedule now!!!! PixCii how did you get the bullets? I don't know what semesters they fit into yet though.

Theater Arts II
Digital Media I
English III (honors)
Geometry
Physical Science
French II
Seminar
AP US History

Alternates:
Marketing
Small Business/Entrepreneurship
Creative Writing II

BR_Fl: You have AP US History too? It'd be so gnarly if we went to the same HS.

Cheese: Haha I was going to choose Marketing, but I put it as an alternate instead.

Rabid, I've always been interested in journalism, and, as you noted, writing, so I'm hoping that Newspaper will be a good class for me. Besides, I thought you might need someone to vent to about all the hassles, and this way I have someone to vent to as well :P.
Dreamydre, there's a little option in the formatting bar when you choose 'Go Advanced' to write your post. Relatively easy to find.

Pux, I will be a junior. Currently a sophomore.
Dreamydre15, I'm terrified of AP classes honestly. But i want that extra boost to bump my GPA up At least im overqualified so I'm doing something right. Oh goodness, a school full of simmers would be awesome!

I was about to do Journalism but it was either that or take the pre-requisites for yearbook. I have always wanted to do yearbook so oh well.

PixCii: Ahh, I see. (I just had a dingy moment).

BR_Fl: AP US History will actually be my first Advanced Placement class also, I won't be terrified if I get Mr. Coleman (he's one of the US History teachers). My sister had him for Cultural Literacy and he's a very down-to-earth man. I just hope I don't end up failing or anything, that'll be the end of me.

EDIT: Oh my goodness!! I forgot I'm moving this Summer (another Dingy moment.) I hope teachers are nice in California...Pux-?

Depends on school. We Californies don't like foreigners (J/K!). But really, if you go to a good district, private school, or preparatory school, you'll get teachers who actually care. Hope you don't move near Sacramento, very stereotypical High school drama and setting up there.

Then there's ACA DECA for the second semester only, Spanish 2, and I believe the rest of my two classes are electives. Have to wait to see what I get.

Actually, I don't think I'll do Photography anymore. There is that list above. Maybe drop Photography and study another language. I'm thinking Latin, even though it's a dead language.
