These are lovely. As to your question/ comment; in order to have these not appear behind Maxis paintings they would have to be there own mesh.

Thanks for these! My sim has two little girls (twins) who are obsessed with all things princessy and want to be in ballet classes as soon as they are old enough so these are perfect for their bedroom.

As someone stated, to get this to show up in the catalog as it's own object it would have to be it's own mesh/object. The easiest way: find a base game mesh and clone it. Give it a unique guid so it will not conflict with the item you cloned it from and change the TXTR to whatever photo you want to be the default image. Give it a unique name in the catalog, price, description... etc. Then recolor that new object to get all the alternate photo options.

This would be a very easy, 10 minute process in simPE. I would say if you're not completely comfortable with SimPE yet, find a new object creation tutorial and follow all steps except the parts about importing/creating a new mesh.

I would like to point out, however, most people don't do it this way because it takes up more space than necessary. Why have two identical meshes in your game? It simply takes up more resources and more hard-drive space. People would rather have a bunch of recolor files (because they are smaller) being used by a few meshes, rather than forcing the game to load lots of identical meshes. For people with older/slower systems, it saves a lot of headaches. It also decreases game loading time.

Hope the info I gave helped.
Thanks again!

I am an (unloaded?) gun; false hope.

@ Vintage - Thank you!

I want to post a lot more recolors but for some reason my Wizards of SimPE won't let me recolor any wall art anymore.
