Does this qualify? It's not that ethnic but it's curly:

I've been working on a medium-sized afro hairstyle lately, but i'm having some issues as the hair gets too shiny. Since i fix this and the forehead hairline i'll post here.

@asiashamecca, I agree with you! An Afro with some shine won't be too bad! You ever heard or Afro Sheen? XD I'm just playing but seriously, the game is starving for ethnic hairs but I also know how hard it is to keep hairs low poly -the game registers flat texture as flat, no illusions. I don't know how maxis gets off with that one weird looking dreads hairstyle...

I just wanted to add my support for your work is all! If you do end up make this hairstyle I know many a simmer would appreciate it! :lovestruc

BTW, I found a Nouk Afro Knot hair conversion SkeletalScreams~here

Hi, all. Performing some thread necromancy here. But I would also love some natural styled black or curly hair. I would love Dreds. Micro Braids. Afros. Kinky twists. I want to have some of my blck sims look a little more natural as a black woman I miss being able to recreate my friends with 'fros and Dreds. I miss nouks hair and can't seem to find many conversions of it.

Catrlgirl, everyone always wants more black hair for Sims; the situation is chronic. I've got several I'm working on and just have just uploaded a style; it ought to be at MTS in a couple of days' time. Aikea_Guinea has recently completed a Frankensteined hair which you can find here.

Also, you can go to My Sims 3 Blog and search for ethnic hair styles. Just type in afro hair and the first three links should give ethnic hair styles.

I hope this thread necro is alright, but I just wanted to let you that I've uploaded several frohawk hairstyles to my website, Kitty Klan.

Moreover, I plan on exclusively making curly/ethnic/afro-textured hair for a while and am taking suggestions in the comments section for my bunhawk.

yes, we've all been waiting for it, and in my case I'm still waiting can't believe EA has the nerve to call this african hair muchless request payment for it...(in case you're wondering yes I'm black, so I can say that as usual the hair is terrible, my black sims are not gonna have this, but yours are welcome to it) hoping a lovely modder sees this and is inspired to "africanize" the textures plzzzzz somebody like Robokitty? :D

This thread is really old but I know of a few new places with ethnic hairs and I know simmers are always looking for some good ones. Procrasimnation has made a lot of twisted newsea/cazy hairs, and simmerstore just made a ts2-ts3 curly hair conversion. xx
