I love this! Having worked the graveyard shift for many years in the past, it reminds me of those days And, since the scientist career is my favourite EA-made career, I know I'll enjoy using this mod. Thanks so much!

Good idea, but I'd rather someone found a way to move plants spawn time to midday instead.

I researched that but couldn't find a way. Either shift it to 11 or 12, or make it spawn every 12 hours... etc.

Doing it this was a very easy method, and it was more of a problem to me with the Scientist career anyway. Hopefully, Maxis will fix it so they'll spawn on all lots again.

I remember after 5PM all co workers leave home and my sim will be so lonely all night with nobody to interact

If you have Seasons, you could try my buymore_phone mod. It doesn't alter the growing shifts, but allows your Sim to buy fruits, vegetables and plants via "buy presents" on the phone:

Heya. Cool mod. Been looking for a Scientist plant fix for a while. I have a suggestion though. Would it be too much trouble to have a second/alternate version with daylight hours instead? For example, instead of 10am-7pm (broken plants) or 12am-9am (nocturnal), something like.. 5am to 2pm? Or if that isn't early enough to trigger the plants, 4am to 1pm? The reason for this suggestion being.. it's pretty common for players to get in the habit of (or just preferring) controlling the majority of their sims during day time when a lot of activity is going on, including many special events. A lot of game mechanics kinda favor this, and having your sims all sleep at the same time is handy for fast forwarding. Having the Scientist career switch to night only means... possibly throwing off your schedule and/or having to sleep through events. Something some players may not want to work around? I personally would much prefer my sim to work early morning, just in time to get the plants working properly, then come home early afternoon, even if that just means gaining an extra 4-5 hours of daylight.

Either way, thank you for your consideration (and the mod).

I've actually been considering moving the start of the day to some time after 2am. Since the holidays don't end until 2am, working hours from 12-9 causes two days off for holidays instead of one. It's not a big deal but been thinking about it.

Gonna need to test it though. There may be an issue with staffing since anything other than 12-9 or 10-7 is outside the game's fixed staffing hours.

Mod should work with the latest update, however there were changes made in the Tuning files. I'll need to check for all the changes Maxis made and update my mod for maximum compatibility.

Thanks first of all, but I also wonder, would it be possible to make an alternative version where you start work at 04:30 and end at 13:30 so you kinda of get a bit of a "normal" workday? It's hard to fit it into the normal schedule lol

The co-worker work schedules are fixed. There are co-worker schedules for Midnight, 10am, and 7pm. I can set the co-workers to come in at any of those times, but going outside those hours don't work for some reason. I tried shifting the schedule once to fix the holiday problem but it didn't work.
