Crohn's Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) CAS traits added
Since 1.6 million Americans have irritable bowel disorders, I wanted to include some realism with the game and allow this feature for sims.
These traits affect teen-elder sims. It does not effect whims, but rather creates buffs from time to time. The idea behind this is to simulate chronic pain, and since these diseases are incurable, the sims will not have any new whims to deal with them.
Note: The "Crohn's Disease" trait is essentially a more severe form of the IBS trait, with added energy and hunger restrictions
Trait: Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Description: Sims with IBS, or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, are prone to stomach upsets, have to watch what they eat, and occasionally suffer from abdominal pain.
This is found in the "Lifestyle" category in CAS.
Buffs:
- Mild Abdominal Pain (+1 Uncomfortable for 2 hours)
---> 10% chance of occuring every 6-24 hours (infrequent)
- Stomach Upset (+2 Uncomfortable for 1 hour)
---->10% chance of occuring after sims eat a meal
Misc:
- Causes a sim's bladder to decay 1.35x normal rate
- Can from time to time (rarely) experience food poisoning
Trait: Crohn's Disease
Description: Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease. It causes sims to suffer from inflammation of the digestive tract, which can lead to abdominal pain, severe diarrhea, fatigue, weight loss and malnutrition.
This trait is found in the "Lifestyle" category in CAS.
Buffs:
- Mild Abdominal Pain (+1 Uncomfortable for 2 hours)
---> 10% chance of occurring every 6-24 hours (infrequent)
- Stomach Upset (+2 Uncomfortable for 1 hour)
--->10% chance of occurring after sims eat a meal
- Fatigue (+1 Uncomfortable for 4 hours)
--->Energy decreases at 2x the normal rate
--->20% chance of occurring every 6-24 hours
Misc:
- Hunger fills at 70% of the normal rate
- Can from time to time (rarely) experience food poisoning
This mod has been playtested and so far is compatible with everything and the latest patch (1.50.67.1020). Let me know if you experience issues!
The download file contains both traits.
Enjoy!
