Thank you for making this. It will be very useful for one of my creative sims that I just made. I know a little about depression myself, so it's nice to have some realistic traits in-game.

Default Thank you.
I was just wondering the other day when someone makes the bipolar-trait. The best part is that you made both types - so many people don't even know there are two "versions" and how different they can be. This is not a bad way to spread the awareness.

Thanks again

I thought you knew what it was like to be bipolar. . . this may be fun seeing myself from a different perspective. Thank you for this. I noticed for the if you can call it an "up" side to bipolar was both energized. I'm a very shy person unless I'm manic - granted I can go days with no sleep whatsoever during those times, but I think I get a bit grandiose. As if I'm more important than I am, and I'm just more outgoing and talkative too. I'm just curious if you might be able to give a little more variation on the manic side - maybe it's because I suffer from severe depressions - my manics are short and don't last long. If that makes any sense - I suppose what I'm saying is I would like to see a full blown manic for a bit rather than severe depression all the time.

I think I'm going to have so much fun. . . sorry for the long post. . . that's what you get when you mix bipolar with writer = long posts.

Oh you definitely will see the manic side and extra energy boost if you play around with the trait for a bit like today I played with my sim and he got into a very depressive mood and dumped his gf so he was extra depressed then he got into a manic episode which overshadowed the depressive mood for quite some time. I was considering adding the confident buff as a trait as well but with the manic buff along with being very energized sims also gain traits and qualities of confident moods if that makes sense

Hi there! Thanks a lot for this, it's a lot of fun and a great challenge so far. Plus, it's always great to be able to make sims that share my experiences. There is a rather pressing issue, though, with the Bipolar I trait (I haven't tested out Bipolar II yet) where the Irritable moodlet has a big chance of instantly killing a sim from anger if angry becomes the active emotion. Since sims die from anger at +10, the fact that the moodlet is +1,000 has the potential for a pretty high body count. Perhaps make it still a rather strong moodlet (like maybe +5 such as from bladder failure. still dangerous but not a death sentence) but. not THAT strong lmao

Still, thanks a lot. I can see myself using this frequently

I agree with Lightspeed, I actually did have my sim die from anger. She was at work all day so I couldn't combat the anger at all, and as soon as she got home she died. And she was the only adult in the household so my toddler got taken away too. It was a very sad sim day.

Other than that this is a great trait. I have a lot of friends who are bipolar, so its nice I can get a little taste of what its like for them.

Hey, I feel for you and thank you for making this mod. Awareness is key, I know from my own life with a family member with a mental disorder. Thank you, and stay strong.

Thanks! I've been looking for a good bipolar trait for so long, I can't wait to try this out! Plus to see what other traits you make! I was wondering if you could perhaps tell me where you got the anorexic trait I can see in the photos in CAS? That would be amazing, thanks.

Um, I just had a Sim die from anger. Just wanted to let you know--I know you said that you made it so this couldn't happen, but it did with Bipolar II. :/ Uninstalling until it's fixed.

Is there a way I can contact you to talk about a short interview for a small mental health blog? I'm doing a post on Sims 4 and mental illness.

do you have BPD or know someone with it? because I'm impressed that you actually know how bipolar works. most people I talk to think it's just mood swings. T_T

EDIT: i just realized that my comment might be coming off as sarcastic. it wasn't, I'm actually happy about the accuracy of this trait. I'm clearing this up now so there's no misunderstandings later, since i just got chewed out for a misunderstanding today. so yeah, i mean what i say, no sarcasm intended.

This is incredible! I have suffer with the disorder myself, so I appreciate seeing some of these put into the games, it's very clever how you've done this and I think it helps people understand a bit better what someone goes through by seeing their sim going through it
