Merry Christmas Everyone! As the festivity grows with each day, I found the inspiration to create an elegant set of Holiday Cards (both Christmas and New Years) to go with MogHughson's famous postal system. As the Holiday bug is going around in Sims town, I hope these ten cards can add to your game's festivity!
Required Postal System Mod:
For those of you who are unfamiliar with MogHughson's Postal System, it is a mod that allows your Sims to write, send, and receive cards via their mailbox. It is by far my favorite mod because not only can my Sims send cards, but once received, I can display them in my house! And since every household has a mailbox, it is the perfect add-on to your Sims game. The cards I have made here (and in the past) are cards that work with this particular mod. (MogHughson's original upload post has plenty more information about this if you are curious)
For these 10 Holiday cards, I have made 9 Christmas cards and 1 New Years card.
Card 1: Is entitled, "Magical Moments," and reads, "Wishing you many magical moments this Holiday season."
Card 2: Is entitled, "Warmest Thoughts," and reads, "Wishing you warmest thoughts and best wishes this Holiday season!"
Card 3: Is entitled, "Blessings of Christmas," and reads, "May the Blessings of Christmas be with you today and always."
Card 4: Is entitled, "Simple Joys," and reads, "May the simple joys of the season be yours."
Card 5: Is entitled, "Our Family," and reads, "The best gift under the tree is the presence of our family. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!"
Card 6: Is entitled, "Christmas Cheer," and reads, "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. -Elf"
Card 7: Is entitled, "Wonderful Winter," and reads, "Thinking of you and wishing you a wonderful winter."
Card 8: Is entitled, "A Child is born," and reads, " 'For unto us a child is born' Give thanks for Him this Christmas season."
Card 9: Is entitled, "Beauty of the Season," and reads, "May the beauty of the season bring you great joy. Merry Christmas!"
Card 10: Is entitled, "Happy New Year," and reads, "Wishing you a fantastic and happy New Year!"
Quick Note about Backs and Insides of Cards...
If you have taken a look at my upload photos, you may have noticed the "boringness" of the backs and the unclear words inside of the card itself. Firstly, if you are placing the card in your house as decoration then you don't really need a fancy back because you will never see it. And secondly, the words inside of the card are not meant to be read. They are simply there to make the card look realistic.
Final Thoughts...
I put a bit more work then normal into the cards and the screenshots themselves so make sure you take a look at them, I believe the photos really capture the cards. And as always, make sure to hit that "Thank You" button if you like a creation you find on Mod the Sims, if keeps us creators going. All Feedback/Suggestions/Comments are welcome! Merry Christmas!
Curious about my request policy or what I am working on next? I keep a brief and updated segment dedicated to this on my profile page.
