I love everything that improves graphics! Very nice of you to share your preset (and to make me aware that it is even possible to have stuff like this..)! Do you think my nvidia geforce 560 ti could handle it? Otherwise I'll just have to wait until I can upgrade my graphics card

Your card isn't going to be able to handle it, unfortunately.

This preset is amazing! But I'm wondering if this is just for taking screenshots, or if it's possible to use this during gameplay as well? I can imagine that not everything would be convenient to use during gameplay, but using F12 and F9 for example, would that work during gameplay?
And do you think this would work with a GeForce GTX 500Ti (on a desktop)?

Thanks so much for this! Gonna try it out to see how well I like it. Does this conflict with any lighting mods, by any chance?

It's optimized for use in both gameplay and Cameraman mode. But no, your card is unfortunately not really suitable for this preset...I wasn't joking when I said that you need a powerful card for this.

Nope, no conflicts. Unless you have really weird lighting, but that would be more of an aesthetic issue than a technical one.

Crap, I thought I had a GeForce GTX 960 and it turns out it's a 950. Not powerful enough? I'm able to play the game on the highest settings, no problem, with all expansions, stuff packs and a crap ton of store stuff and mods/cc.

Should work, but your framerate's gonna take a hit. If it somehow doesn't, please tell me.

This is seriously amazing. If I thought my computer could handle this I'd run it in a heartbeat. Thank you for sharing :)

This is great but that tutorial hasn't been updated in a while, meanwhile Reshade has. We no longer have a Preset folder. It's a bummer, because this is a very cool mod.

Thanks for the heads-up, I've provided a download link to the correct version of ReShade.

No prob. Quick question.. Which ReShade file do I download from the MediaFire folder... I'm gonna use trial and error but it would be great if you told me which one might suit me better. I still have the older ReShade file on my computer and for some reason it's not working like it used to but... I did change my gfx recently and I think that might be why? I'm gonna try 2.0 and see if that works.

Edit: I fixed the issue... I had to run it as an administrator and now it works... *Slaps forehead* I love your beautiful preset. Thanks for sharing it, I remember seeing you post pics over on TS3 forums that were absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, it should. I can't recommend playing in resolutions higher than 1920x1080 though.

That's a shame. Thank you for your reply, though!

Finally! I've been waiting for something like this to happen, even after I stopped playing TS all together this makes me wanna give it another chance since I never really got into TS4 but wished TS3 had these extras.

@jrcaporal, tell you what, I doubt this'll be the last of these "extras" you and I both love so much. If there's one thing I've learned about the The Sims games in the 11-ish years I've been playing them, it's that they're never done. The more time and effort this community puts into them, the better they get. I'm doing what I can to make TS3 a better game, and the second I can share any of it with the community, I will.

Quick question, can I use reshade 3.0 with this mod or does it have to be 2.0?

I'm not aware of ReShade 2.0 presets being compatible with ReShade 3.0, but I haven't tried or looked into it. As far as I know, you'll have to use 2.0.

Hey, I'm a bit dumb when talking about cards. Do you think my 1050 can run this without any kind of frame drop?

Your 1050 definitely qualifies! However, the effects in this filter will cause some slowdown on every card there is. You're probably not going to have any kind of frame drop, but your framerate may for for example drop from 60 to about 40.
