When Dr Samuel Johnson emigrated to America in the early 1830s, in search of a more agreeable climate, he found himself in the city of New Orleans, still relatively young in its existence he saw it as a good place to set up his surgery. To cater to and attract the wealthier inhabitants of the city that he desired, he had to have a house to match his ambitions, and so he commissioned a local architect to build him a double-galleried Greek Revival style home in the affluent Garden District.
Since the good doctor's passing, the main room of the surgery was repurposed into a music room; a far more practical use for such a room. The surgery was moved to its own premises by the doctor's son, allowing the home to be enjoyed solely as a family home.

I hope you will enjoy this little piece of New Orleans that I have conjured up, and as usual, if there are any issues, let me know.
