The Clue Crew



This is a set of three teenage female Sims based on the Nancy Drew book characters.

(Ahh! My first upload!) Hi! Today I bring you the crime-solving trio, Nancy Drew and her two best friends, Bess Marvin and George Fayne. For those of you who don't know, Nancy Drew is a franchise that was started in 1930 and continues today. Not only is Nancy Drew the main character in a popular series of books, she is also the subject of five films, 2 TV shows, and a series of PC games.



I decided to do Nancy in the 30s, as the original feisty heroine that I fell in love with as a little girl. On her Wikipedia page, she is described as "'as immaculate and self-possessed as a Miss America on tour. She is as cool as a Mata Hari and as sweet as Betty Crocker.' Nancy is wealthy, attractive, and amazingly talented."



I wanted to embody Bess's sweet femininity, and what better way to do that than the adorable fashions of the 50s? (Seriously, I love the little poodle on her dress.) NOTE: Bess's dress requires the Open for Business expansion! It will not show up in your game without it, but there are some really great alternatives around MTS and on All About Style.



George Fayne! Our reliable, tomboyish cousin to Bess. In my game, she's super athletic and loves Nancy's dog, Togo. I decided to put her in the 60s since that was just before the "traditional" Nancy Drew mysteries came to an end.

Just a note: Out of vintage clothes, these girls look super cute as trendy modern Sims in your 'hoods, too! If you use these Sims, I'd love to see them in your worlds, so please feel free to share them with me!
