You're welcome. :-) In fact, I'm about to patch it to fix the webkit gradient issue.

You can find me on the Sims 4 Gallery as DozerfleetProd. If you have XBox One or PS4, please test out my creations, and let me know if / how well they work on consoles.

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but suggesting things be featured isn't usually a good idea. I don't want you to get in trouble. If it happens, it happens. But whether that happens or not, I'll let the upload's popularity speak for itself.

That being said, I've been researching the possibilities of a Love Photo Doctor and sSk calculator set for Sims 3. If I do it at all, it'd be much trickier to pull off. Plus, the only way it'd even work is for someone to have Jonha and Cmar's sliders installed, along with the Master Controller and the One More Slot Package by Granthes. Since I have considerable performance issues with Sims 3, it'd take me possibly a whole two days given my work schedule to make notes, let alone write the programs; and I'm not sure it's worth the trouble.

Best Love Photo Doctor advice I have for Sims 3 so far is: watch the slider numbers diligently, use the OMSP liberally, and that holding down the Shift key while moving items with the mouse is one of your best friends - except when it isn't. (You'll know it when you try it.) Depending on the animations / poses you're trying to execute, there will be problems no matter what. So be mindful of your camera angles when taking shots.

And if you want to shoot variable-height Sim interaction shots in stereoscopic 3D, best be prepared. It's a passion for some, and masochism for others. The one time your Sims can be as cruel to you as you are to them. :P

Oh, thanks for the thought :p
I wasn't really asking I just wanted to express the greatness of this tool. I edited my original post since I see how it could p**s the moderators off and whatnot.
But yea, generally this is sweet, nice work!

Hi, I love the idea of this calculator for determining Sims' height but I have a few issues I would like to share. First, where did you get the info that the Sims' natural height is 6 feet? That is something I've been researching for months. I had to got to old school of using an image of a Sims in a doorway and use a scale to determine the height and came up with about 5 foot 8 in. Of course going by site isn't that accurate so if you have an inside source with the creators then you would be more accurate.

Second, I installed the height calculator into IE11. When I type in the height I want the results comes up in almost the same color as the background color making it hard to read. It really should be a different color. In fact, the black print over the dark blue background is hard to read as well but can be read.

Third, it looks like you have determine 1inch equals to roughly 0.014 (I ran a set of heights ranging from 4 foot to 6 foot and there were a few times it was greater than 0.014). I'm not sure if this estimate is correct because it makes the smaller Sims too small (even the knees and ankles look off). Awhile back I estimated the inch being 0.008 and it looks closer to being correct than 0.014. Of course if you source is from the creators than I guess my eyes are off.

Regarding Primes' request for a calculator for teenage Sims, I would say go old school with a hand held calculator and do it yourself. All we need to know is the teen Sims' starting height and the correct figure (1 inch equals 0.014 or 1 inch equals 0.008).

I hope you don't mind this feedback because I would really love to have a working height calculator for Sims 2.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Gnoming and Storking are issues in both Sims 2 and 3, but especially in 2. Arms and legs don't adjust in sync with backs, and stretchSkeleton cheats modify back length more than anything else. So when you shrink them and they start looking like chimpanzees, this is called "gnoming." They are taking on "gnome" body proportions, according to this show's mythos about gnomes.

The opposite problem, when their arms and legs get really warped while you modify their backs to make them too tall, is referred to as "storking."
Their legs and backs get stretched until they have "stork"-like bodies.

In Sims 2, there is no way to fix this. StretchSkeleton was meant to be more of a debugging cheat than a serious component of gameplay. Even with the Custom Height Slider for Sims 4, back height gets affected more than leg or arm proportions do, leading to some gnoming and storking of Sims when it is used to extremes. Granted, the consequences in Sims 4 are far less extreme, but still noticeable.

Sims 3 perhaps has the problem the least, and there are enough custom sliders by Jonha available that the effects of gnoming and storking can be hidden somewhat by tweaking neck, arm, and leg sliders to proportion the Sim more adequately. Animations will still look weird though, as Sims were never intended to deviate from certain default heights by EA.

The worst storking effects in Sims 3 come for Chaults (Child AI, Adult Skeleton). These rarely happen, except with misuse of Twallan's mods. On my YouTube channel, I've documented Chault storking using a young Marge Ramirez that has been Chaulted. (To fix the family tree issues with the game not recognizing Powmani tribe squaw Kicked Deer as her biological mother. Time travel plots make it hard for the game to recognize John Domeck and Kicked Deer as Mapacha del Feugo's biological parents. It's complicated. But I digress.) When you get a Chault in Sims 3, simply using the Master Controller menus to "Reset Sim" will usually solve the problem.

Chaults are less common in Sims 2, but more dangerous. Due to IK Target Skeletons and Object Bones, having an adult skeleton with the mind of a child could lead to game-breaking animation errors. A Bault (Baby-Adult) is extremely dangerous, as it can lead to Boddler-Induced Social Worker Infinite Loop Syndrome (BI-SWILS), which locks you in the game and corrupts the whole lot, turning your Sims' house into a Trojan that can corrupt other users' games.

I do believe that it was largely because of Boddlerism, BI-SWILS, DECHI-SWILS (Dead Child Social Worker Infinite Loop Syndrome), CHITI-SWILS (Child-in-Trap-Induced), CT-BILS (Corrupt Twin Birth Infinite Loop), etc, that the entire animation scheme was changed so radically between Sims 2 and Sims 3.

And then there was the bad CC issue with Sims 3 that led to the infamous "Tarantula-Baby" glitch with toddlers. I consider this one of the single greatest reasons Sims 4 was released without toddlers as part of gameplay, and with babies changed into objects a-la Sims 1. And why it takes a custom mod that exploits foot length to adjust Sim height at all. Fixing all the problems caused by height simply became a logistical nightmare, so EA tried to make it impossible for us to do it.

You can find me on the Sims 4 Gallery as DozerfleetProd. If you have XBox One or PS4, please test out my creations, and let me know if / how well they work on consoles.

It's designed for teens, adults / YA, and possibly elders. It's not designed for use on babies, toddlers, or children, though it might work for children. Don't attempt using it on babies or pets. As for the Love Photo Doctor: it states on the app face itself that it's for teens, adults, and elders, and that's it. The point of the kit is to adjust custom heights in a game where there is no native height slider system like in the latter generations, and to have the new heights correspond to reality as close as possible. The Love Photo Doctor is there specifically to cue you in on what heights you'll have to adjust your Sims to if you want them to kiss or make out, in order to avoid weird glitches where they are kissing each other's foreheads and what-not.
