This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Quite some time ago now I built this house for QBuilderz' contest here on MTS, but I've only just managed to put the finishing touches and adjustments to it, but I can finally (and very happily at that) present Khadija to you. I had a wonderful time building this house, I've never worked on anything of this style before so it was somewhat of a trial and error process; nevertheless, I relished the challenge of trying something completely different, and I hope that my enthusiasm when creating this comes through in the design and details of the building.
The house is comprised of two floors, the lower of which occupies the main living spaces of the house, including the kitchen, dining and living areas; while the upper plays host to three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The floor plan, whilst not especially open plan, has a fluid and light feel to it because of the arches I used to connect the spaces and bring the house together. I also tried to go for a colour scheme that was warm and homely, but not overbearing, and I hope this has translated well in the photos and in game.
I'll stop waffling now, please enjoy the house!
After several bugs were brought to my attention I have uploaded an updated version of the lot, screenshots have also been adjusted accordingly. If you would like to see the full list of changes made please click on the spoiler below. I have also fully play tested the lot to ensure all other bugs have been ironed out and that all furniture is accessible and usable.
*External bin moved to become accessible
*Ground floor bathroom expanded to allow space to mop
*Upper floor en-suite reshuffled to allow space to mop
*Wall and door on upper floor balcony to prevent guests walking into the house
*Dining room reshuffled so all chairs are usable
*Kitchen oven, chairs & table, bin, sideboard and wine rack recoloured
*Roof tiles changed to be more in-keeping
*Other small ornaments/objects recoloured around the house
*This house contains no custom content*
*Play tested fully*
Lot Size: 30x30
Lot Price: £161,525/£94,248
Thanks to QB for hosting the competition, and also for pushing me to finish and upload the house - I finally did it! YAY!
Thanks to mikey for bringing several issues to my attention so I could update the lot.

Expansion / Stuff Packs Required
Built with Game Version: 1.67.2.024
You must have the expansion, game version or stuff packs listed above installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.
You need to be a Registered Member to be able to download from MTS. Registration allows you to thank and leave comments for the creators, see your download history, participate in the discussions and much more!
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
