Thank you so much! I downloaded a world without roads - so no cars (it's a small world so they run or ride horses everywhere) ...and then set to work building it out as a medieval world.... your downloads are priceless... I couldn't have made it authentic without you!

I'm still desperate for clothing for my elders...there's just nothing for them that I can find that is free... but as to their homes and the items in them, I now will have no rooms with anything they couldn't have had...and it's all thanks to you guys.

Is there any chance you can link said-world? Or, better yet, share the completed one once you're done building?

Also, excellent kitchen set! It always annoys me most to have a medieval-themed neighborhood with a modern fridge in every house...

I'd be happy to share it... getting links to everything will take a minute....
I have all the expansions, all the store stuff and some downloads and mods people would need to make it come out right....and of course, I'm going to have to learn how to upload it. lol
I've learned everything else reading tutorials, so I will figure that out too.

The world is called Pandora - you can google that and download it if you want to start fresh before I'm done with mine. It's a clean world with nothing on it and no sims (great landscaping and fabulous routing, my lap top is low end and with this world I play so smoothly it's like I got a better machine.)
I'm still working on it and have two families as testers going for now but when it's done, sure, I'll share. : )
I really love the no cars thing and this was the first world with no roads I ever found.
It has a couple of things I'd like to change in CAW - like there being no fish in the ocean which I can't seem to resolve from Edit Town - but it's coming along.
I've been working on it obsessively for a few weeks.
As a warning...it has a REAL medieval feel to it - for example, if you set your house on fire, there are no firemen coming as they didn't have them back then. I have other rabbit holes that were needed that I've buried in basements and built on the ground - like the medieval school house, for instance... but for the most part, if they didn't have it back then, then it isn't in the game, and I don't plan to add it.
People died much easier in those days and I wanted the game to reflect that.

Once I figured out how to keep NPC's - the three of them that there are - dressed in Medieval garb and how to stop the game from assigning sims to jobs I didn't want them to have (for instance, peasants should have gardening, fishing, etc and Merchant class people should have jobs selling, writing, and running the graveyard, etc... while craftsmen should have jobs making art or inventing), it really started to take shape for me and then I had goals and knew what I wanted to do with it.
I edit nearly every Sim to have the Equine trait - and this is what gets them to ride the horses without me telling them to, though even if they don't ride them, since it's a small world, they can go anywhere in it on foot.

The person who made the world did a really great job on it.

If I could just get someone to enable some clothes for me for other categories - I have no idea how to do that - and maybe make a couple of things for the elders and toddlers, I'd be really smoking this project, so to speak. As it is, I'm pretty happy with how it's going.....thanks to the Merry Makers, of course, without whom I couldn't have made it so authentic. lol

Please know that we are working on medieval clothing uploads with items for all age groups -- even the infant blanket -- except toddlers. Hopefully they will be out soon.

Thank you for your kind comments!

Something strange happened when I downloaded this package. The Medieval stove is now the only stove I have in-game. All my other stoves disappeared. Was that supposed to happen?

Thanks very much for your message! We'll check into the issue and get back to you. To our knowledge, no one else has had this problem.

I did a quick test and all stoves in my catalog displayed and were buyable/useable. I had multiple sims cooking and tinkering at the same time. See screenshot below. We are still checking into your issue. Did you extract the file into your Mods > Packages folder in your documents? SimmyRN, Merrye Makers member.

This is my favorite stove of all. It is rated high so the users don't have to take forever to feed themselves and their families well. Also it has a lot of space to put things and it can be any color.

I am having trouble getting it to show up in my game. I haven't figured it out yer. I hope that this is working for the latest games. If not, please upgrade it. It is the best and most useful stove in all of simdom.

Are you looking for the stove while on a commercial lot? If so, you won't see it because you can't use stoves on commercial lots without a mod. I've not yet applied the latest patch or installed any expansion packs since Pets. Hopefully, the patch or an expansion pack didn't break it. What patch / expansion packs have you applied? Grammercy for your kind comments! SimmyRN

I recently downloaded the stove, and I think it's awsome. I have one problem though, all the things I put on the shelves beside the oven just disappear. This happens as soon as I close the sims. When I load it again, they're gone. I searched the whole lot, but I couldn't find them anywhere. I have the latest patch, and all the expansions except Supernatural. Would have been really nice to be able to use the shelves, since it's one of the things I like about this stove.

I re-downloaded the stove and two decorative pots and tried them on both my computers - one with Showtime/Supernatural and one with just through Pets. I could not recreate the problem you're having. The decorative pots stayed on the stove shelves when I saved and exited the game, then re-started it. Are you having problems with the decorative pots or other items that you're putting on the shelves, or both? My only suggestion would be to delete the items from your computer and then re-download them to see if that helps. Perhaps they are conflicting with some other CC? (I have no CC other than Merrye Makers items.) Hope that helps! SimmyRN

Ok, thanks anyway. It happens with both the decorative pots and other CC. I've got tons of different CC, so maybe it's conflicting like you say... The house I'm currently building is in Create a World, maybe it'll work once i exported my world...
