In 1111, Admiral Ole "Apeface" Berrds led his fleet of 3 Viking ships, the Ninny, the Pinny and the Sankta Minnie across the Pacific and into a deep bay on the island of New Oslo. Since the bay reminded Admiral Berrds of home, he named it Fjorda Berrds. Moments later he discovered the rock formation now known as Ole Berrds Bath.
This natural rock Artesian pool with three waterfall slides and two thermal pools is now the star attraction of New Oslo's latest vacation getaway - Fjorda Berrds Spa Resort.
The lodgings include 3 family birdhouse units, with full bath, bedroom with one double and one single bed, kitchenette, dining area and sitting area with TV on the second floor. This floor also features a large deck with grill and seating. Take the elevator down and there is a small observation deck on the second floor. Down again and you gain access to all the amenities.
The main hotel building has a lobby, TV/entertainment room, restrooms, and a first class restaurant with kitchen on the first floor. 2 elevators will take you to the second floor, where you will find a clothing shop (with souvenirs for sale, too!), the open-air party deck and the hotel gym with exercise equipment, 2 massage tables, sauna, showers and lockers for your valuables. The honeymoon penthouse suite is an elevator-ride up. This suite includes a full bath, bedroom, kitchen, dining for two and a sitting area with TV and stereo.
The beautifully landscaped grounds house the impressive Founder's Fountain, a pyramid built by Chi Chen Issa in 999, as well as opportunities to try your hand at such Viking activities as axe-throwing, log-rolling or rolling skating, or the native fire-walking. But don't forget to enjoy the pool!
