Raon 21 in 6 GIMPified pooklet colors

SCREENSHOTS
This lovely swirly pigtail mesh from Raon (female hair #21) has 8928 faces, a huge count by early standards but now considered relatively low-poly. It works for all ages, although occasionally there is some clipping with the pigtails. This is noticeable mostly on toddlers (check out the example below). The texture is pooklet's version 3.
It is made using the six pooklet colors that I use in my game: Dynamite (black), Depth Charge (brown), Incendiary (blonde), and Explosive (red) grouped together as a family; and Volatile (light blonde) and Pyrotechnic (light red) grouped individually. All hairs are binned, and compressed. Elders use Mail Bomb (light grey), which is linked to Dynamite from family 1 and both Volatile and Pyrotechnic in case you don't use both.
I made these colors using a new experimental technique in the GIMP. (The written instructions for pooklet's colors don't work for the reds, so improvisation is necessary.) I used the Get RGB Curves plugin to extract the curves needed to transform a texture from Volatile (the base color) to the rest of pooklet's spectrum. This seems to work really well, at least to my eye, with a couple of exceptions, so I've exported the curves and made them available to other GIMP users. (I noted the two neon colors that are noticeably different.) If you try it, please let me know how well it works. (You will need to supply your own base textures.)
According to Raon's policy, the mesh is not included. You can download it separately directly from Raon. Also: Elsewhere on MTS there are some Maxis-match and neon recolors of Raon's fringe/bangs variant of the same mesh, if you like it better that way.

This is a new mesh recolour, and means that you will need to download the particular mesh itself in order for this to show up in your game. See the Meshes Needed section or read the text for more information.

About Me
Since I have gotten so much enjoyment out of free custom content, I finally decided to share some of my dabblings in order to, in some small way, give a little bit back to the community.
Since all I make is free stuff made with other free stuff (except for the games, half of which I bought used, I am not even using any not-free software--hooray for the GIMP!), and it is made possibly entirely by other people who have shared THEIR free stuff, I am entirely sharing-friendly. Do whatever you like with any of my stuff. Make recolors, pull it apart and make it better, mix it with your own stuff, upload it with your Sims or lots or whatever, or print it out and use it as a background on your dart board.
In order to make sharing easier, crediting me is nice, but not required. If you forget where you got it, 'er...someone somewhere' is acceptable credit. (Basically, anything short of claiming to have made it yourself.)
I would prefer that you not put anything made with my stuff on pay sites, because I figure if I make free stuff using other free stuff, it should stay free. Obviously you should never try to make money off of somebody else's stuff, but as for just posting for free on sites that have some pay content...since I don't actually frequent any pay sites, I wouldn't know if you did. Use your best judgment.
