This is a little something for the May creators challenge to celebrate the 5th Birthday of MTS2.

When you blow out the candles of a birthday cake, you should always make a wish (that's the tradition where I come from anyway). Well now your Sims get a wish when they blow of the candles of their birthday cake too. Of course, only children believe in wishes, so this only applies when you grow up from a child to a teen or from a teen to the next stage of life. After that, you become way too cynical to believe in wishes on your birthday cake.

The wishes re-use the functionallity provided by the Genie in the Lamp introduced by the Freetime EP, so this EP is required to use this object too.

The chances of your wish coming true run with the same percentages as the chances of successfully using an aspiration reward object, i.e. in gold and platinum aspiration states, you're onto a winner, below gold, it's a bit of a lottery. Of course, unlike aspiration reward objects, there is no downside other than your wish simply being wasted (and you only get two in a lifetime!)

The Wishes
Descriptions courtesy of the Prima Official Game Guide
  • Give me wealth
A bag of money, containing $10,000 drops from the sky; to claim it, a Sim must use the bag's Get Money interaction. For several days after this wish, the chance of a burgalar rises dramatically.
  • Give me peace of mind
Teen only. Sims get Platinum Aspiration for the rest of their life.
  • Give me power to cheat death
Teen only. When the Sim eventually dies, he'll automatically plead for his own life. The first time is always successful. Each successive time a Sim pleads for death's mercy, the chance of success drops by 10 percent. If successful, the Sim returns to life. If the Sim's cause of death was old age and his plea is granted, the Reaper will return the next day to take him again.
  • Give me a long life
Sims get three days added onto their current life stage.
  • Give me beauty
Teen only. Sim gets maximum chemistry with every Sim of their gender preference for four days and will see a dramatic increase in walkby visitors of that sex.

This package updates the base game birthday cake and the three cakes that came with the Celebrations Stuff Pack. If you don't have the Celebrations SP installed it will still work for you but you will only have the one cake to make wishes on.
  • London's Famous Birthday Cake (Base Game)
  • The Limey CulinaryCounter (Celebrations SP)
  • The Buttery CulinaryCounter (Celebrations SP)
  • The Purpley CulinaryCounter (Celebrations SP)

I do not currently know of any hacks that this mod might conflict with, but of course there is always the possibility. For the benefit of other modders, the details are below.
