Picket Fences! Part 86

Over on Crumbletop Lane, a new family moved into the house across the street from the Martin family.

The Johnson family consists of parents Linda and Fred . . .

And their teenage daughter Freya.

"Mom, can I invite some friends from school over today?", asked Freya.

"I guess it'll be alright", said Linda.

"Fred, is it alright with you if she has some friends over", she asked.
"Yes, it'll be alright", said Fred.

Freya picked up the phone and called her best friend . . .

"Hey Megan Grace, I'm having a pool party this afternoon. Will you call some of your relatives and ask them to come? Also invite your boyfriend and tell Hannah to invite hers, okay?"

"Sure, I'll ask them. We'll be there!"

Most of the cute boys in town are my relatives anyway."

"Yeah, you're right about that! I'll see y'all in soon."

"Is there anything special you need for your party?", asked Linda.

"Not really, we'll probably just order some pizzas if anybody gets hungry", said Freya.

"Thanks Mom", she said.

At the Tyler place . . .

"Mom, is it okay if I go to Freya Johnson's pool party this afternoon. All my friends will be there", said Megan Grace.

"Sure, you can go. I have a photo shoot this afternoon. You go have some fun with your friends", answered Regan.

'Thanks Mom!", she said.

A short while later, Megan Grace left to go to Freya's party.

A few minutes later, Birch Stetler arrived for his photo shoot.

"Is the outfit I have on okay?", he asked.

"Yes, it's fine Mr. Stetler", she said.

"My daddy was Mr. Stetler. You can call me Birch", he said.

"Well okay, Birch", she said.

"My client requested photos of a handsome man in casual clothes and you fit the bill perfectly. . . Birch. Let's get started. My studio is upstairs", she said.

"Go stand over there", said Regan.

"Okay, look at me", she said.

"That ain't hard to do ma'am", said Birch.

Regan was deciding whether to take more photos when . . .

Birch grabbed her and gave her a kiss.

"Who told you you could do that?", she asked.

"Ain't nobody told me. You looked like you needed one", he said.

To be continued . . .
